Does the future seem to be a string of crises? How can we get ahead of them before it’s too late? In this podcast, we interview a variety of voices from politics, NGOs, academia and beyond to find useful intersections for solutions-oriented conversations. Our first mini-series will highlight the global food crisis stemming from the Ukrainian-Russian Conflict.

Navigating into the future always involves navigating into the unknown. Our aim is to sharpen our attention to the imminent challenges we face as societies, and more importantly: How we may find the best possible solutions to overcome them.

Through podcast books, reports and workshops, we aim to empower city-, organizational-, political- and business leaders with the knowledge on how to sustainably innovate and create new jobs, as well as initiate needed change in their spheres of influence. We especially enjoy inspiring students and young people to think more entrepreneurially, overcome their obstacles and see themselves as future leaders, initiating change for the common good.

  • Faith at Work (2022)

    The English version of Samfunnsbygger (2019) 70% of children from active Christian families leave the church as adults due to a lack of connection between faith, work, and community. How can congregations build communities that promote enduring faith and innovative leadership for creating a better society?   • Startup Europe (2016)

    Having seen youth unemployment rise to 30% in many European countries, and that it grew chronic, Hermund Haaland and co-author Nicolai Strøm-Olsen travelled Europe´s ecosystems for entrepreneurship looking for gold and glimpses of hope. They found sparkling ecosystems being developed in many cities. The book was published by think tank Skaperkraft in Norway, which Hermund co-founded, and the book may be purchased here:

  • Startup Israel (2017)

    It´s been called “Silicon Wadi” as one of the world`s most booming entrepreneurial areas outside California. As a natural follow-up, Hermund and Nicolai took a deeper look at Israel´s success as a startup-country, and what we may learn from it. The book features an interview with one of Israel`s most seasoned serial entrepreneurs and investors, Jon Medved, among others.   • Samfunnsbygger (Society Builder - 2019)

    Christian thought has been an obvious shaper of our Western civilization. But how the Church has engaged the public square, has, mildly put, been a mix of good and bad. As church-going Christians in Europe find themselves as a minority, this book challenges the reader to let their faith inspire them to think and act more entrepreneurially, not to win a culture war, but for the common good.   • Startup Migrants (2019)

    Migrants are usually among the most resourceful and innovative - but their talents are oftentimes not put to used because of migration policies and regulations. This book was written by Nicolai Strøm-Olsen and Maria Amelie, but Hermund was part of the initial project team funding and developing the idea.
